Dollars, Visas, Post Office & Chill

We went to the ANZ bank to pick up some dollars just to have some in the wallet for when we go to Laos on Wednesday. We had to show the bank my passport and proof we were leaving Vietnam!! I don't know if this was for the money or just because she wanted to know when the hell we were going to get out of her country!! I think there has been some sort of national food rationing since Lorna got here. Anyway, the flight ticket we got the other day did the trick.
Next we went to the Laos Embassy to apply for our visas. But we found out that we don't get the visas from here, we have to get them from the building next door to Laos Airlines - where we were the other day!!! So we walked back to the right building and filled in the apps. We can collect the visas tomorrow at about 3pm.
Last stop was at the post office. We just posted back a few bits and a couple of DVD's with photos on them. Dunno how long they will take from 'Nam, but we aren't in any rush.
After a brief stop for a KFC intake, we went back to the hotel

. Donna & Pete have lent us their laptop so I can transfer all my photos. As we are having a do nothing day, this was the perfect opportunity to get this done.We were so lazy today that we couldn't even be bothered to go out for food. Now don't think for a moment that I tried to go the full evening without letting Lorna get her teeth into some grub! That would just be suicide! No, the food in the hotel was pretty cheap so we just ordered room service and watched Broken Arrow on the movie channel.
It's pretty disgraceful how lazy we have been today and the issue is, we will probably do the same tomorrow!! Why? Because we can!! Hope you all enjoy your bank holiday off work.....but tomorrow you all go back!
