It was a hearty hilltribe breakfast of banana pancakes this morning before we started out on our short 5km trek to our pick-up point.
On the way we went past an awesome waterfall which I just had to get into the middle of.
It was quite lively due to last weeks floods.
It looked like a massive great water slide and was quite tempting. There were lot's of rocks on the way down so I suggested Lorna went first, but to no avail. Oh well.
Further along we cam across some Marajuana plants! It was growing randomly all around. Wierd scenario.
We got ourselves back to Sapa after witnessing some more breathtaking views. Both this and Halong Bay have views to die for and it's hard to pick a favourite, but if I had to, I would chose this two day trek. With the mountains, fields, rivers and waterfalls, it has been unbeatable!
We headed back to old favourite, the Red Dragon for lunch. Lorna had a chicken dinner with mashed potato and I had a Shepherds Pie. Both meals were top notch.
After a quick wander round Sapa, we went back to the lodge to shower before getting our overnight train back to Hanoi. It has just started to rain a little this afternoon, so I hope the tracks stay in tact!! The rain hasn't lasted long though so we should be OK.
The train is set to leave at pm, so I will miss the Forest score - maybe a blessing in disguise!!
