Arrived into Hanoi at about 4.45am. Tiredness was still present at this stage. We transferred to our hotel and basically collapsed into bed. Lorna and I didn't rise until about lunchtime. We had a quick snack and then went for a walk down to the lake.

The lake itself is a nice area, but the walk down was just market stall after market stall...Hanoi is just one big Market Stall!! We have found a couple of bars down some back streets that have said they will show the footy tonight, so it does have potential. Obviously there will be no discussions about the Championship and the fall of the Mighty Forest. However, this is just a temporary blip on our way to once again dominating European Football!! (The drugs are kicking in again - sorry!).

Not much more to report at this stage. We are out for a meal tonight with the rest of the group......

Went to a restaurant called Little Hanoi. It is very popular and the food was lovely, although a bit on the small side. After dining, we went to the "Polite Pub"! Yeah, I know, a couple from Mansfield in a Polite Pub!! The thing was they were showing the Chelsea - Portsmouth game. We sunk a few beers and had a game of pool whilst watching Pompey get destroyed!

After this, we headed off to the "Funky Monkey" bar for a few more bevvies and to watch the Man Utd - Newcastle game. So a night of food, beer and footy - can't go wrong!!!
