Up early again to get the 7am bus to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

Really have enjoyed our time in Cambodia. Siem Reap was fantastic and the chilling out at Sihanoukville was great as well. There is certainly that feeling of wanting to come back one day...we shall see.

The bus journey to HCMC was about 6 and a half hours, including a half hour stop at the border. I thought the border crossing would be a lot longer, but the bus company )Mekong Express) got us through pretty fast.

We got to HCMC for about 1.30pm and just went for a quick walk round as we wanted to catch up on some sleep this afternoon. We went to the ATM and drew out a MILLION! It's spitting!

!
It was a million Vietnamese Dong of course which is about 30 quid in total...so not as exciting as you first think!

Anyway, gonna crash now and am planning to go out for a big juicy steak tonight....if the budget allows it!

Woken by the memory that the cricket would be on the tele! It starts at 5pm here, so I got a couple of hours in before we headed out.

Then the heavens opened, and when I say opened, I mean the lot fell down!! The road outside our hotel was knee deep in water. When we left to get some food I went out bare foot, it was amazing (the rain that is, not the fact that I was bare foot - it was the first time I had washed my feet for two months though, so there is a blessing in there somewhere!).
As I was watching people driving through the river (road), a 4x4 came by really fast and absoultely covered a moped rider. I mean a complete tidal wave that went over the moped riders head!! I was in bits!! The rider didn't seem to find the funny side though. I was going to go over and explain it to him, but I thought better of it That bus is a double decker!

We decided to splurge today and went for a steak at the Milwuakee Bar & Grill. Actually, the truth is we couldn't be arsed to walk (or swim) any further than the first restaurant that we came to - which was this one - and they sold NZ steak!! We also hit the Tiger beer for the first time on tour - quite a few of them actually!!

I eagerly persuaded Lorna that we should go back to the hotel and avoid further flooding, although the actual motive was to get back for the cricket. It was all going so well until Pieterson decided that he would try and give South Africa a better chance!! 94's a great score, but what was he doing trying to hit a six for his century!!!! And then Flintoff.....and then no Flintoff.....we're gonna lose now!
