I awoke with some strange feelings this morning after an alcohol free day. There was no banging headache. No mouth with a taste like a badger has done a number two in it. No red hot poker pain behind the eyes. No kebab meat stuck to the side of my face and no sneaking out the bedroom regretting the night befores antics with some loose minger!
We decided to have a walk to Victory Beach today, it took about two hours so we had to talk to each other along the way! This was a strange thing for a married couple to do, but we survived.
It's pretty dead round here, I'm glad we decided to stay at Serendipity instead. Although, it might just be because the buses weren't running yesterday because of the elections.
We had lunch at one of the beach shacks and headed back through the downtown area. It started to rain a little so we jumped into the nearest bar, of course. It was called The Bavarian and was a German bar! Thing was, it was right next door to The Brittania british pub! I felt like a traitor - but the beer was good, cold & cheap, so it was OK.
In the evening we went to our guesthouse restaurant on the beach for Shepherd's pie and chicken & chips. We also made up for lost time by getting some beers and vodka down our necks as well!
