We have arrived into Cambodia now. The e-visa system is dead easy and well worth it to jump the queue of people getting visas on arrival. I didn't even have a printed copy of the visa but they still let me through with no hassle.

However.....they lost Lorna's rucksack! It didn't make it from Bangkok (one other woman lost hers as well). We are still awaiting news of it's whereabouts. Lorna has already started a shopping list! I hope the banks don't hear about this or they will close our accounts down!

We are not concerned at the moment as there is nothing we can do about it. Hopefully the bag will turn up as we are only in Siem Reap for 3 days...but we will just have to wait and see.

So far, aside from the bag incident, Siem Reap looks great Underpant Gnomes on the bedsheets!

. We have already been out for lunch and a few beers (Angkor Beer is only 25p in the Temple Bar!), and we are now looking at trying to get some transport arranged for Phnom Penh. We also hope to get to Angkor tomorrow as well.

Internet is veeeerrrrry slow here, so I don't think I will be able to upload any photo's as yet.

We are stopping in a guesthouse called the Mandalay Inn. It's basic, but got everything we need. The staff seem really nice and friendly as well. It's definitely one that I would recommend from what we experienced over the next few days.
This evening we went for a walk down "The Alley" which runs parallel to Bar Street. Here we found a restaurant called Cambodian BBQ. We decided to give it a try and went for their main dish. It's a do-it-yourself BBQ/Hot Pot combo. You get rice, noodles and veg and then you chose 5 meats. We chose Beef, Chicken, Ostrich, Kangaroo and Crocodile. (We actually wanted snake instead of Kangaroo, but they said the snake had run out - I thought they slithered, but I wasn't one to start an argument). Lorna said that if they wanted snake they could just chop me up - bit harsh I felt, but I probably deserved it for some reason that I will only find out about in roughly 5 years time!!
The meal was fantastic and we could keep ordering extra rice or noodles if we wanted them. Really enjoyed the meal and the ambience of this place. I really am liking Siem Reap already.
We dropped into a couple more bars for some more cheap beers, then headed for the sack as we had to be up at 4.15 am tomorrow morning for a journey to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat.....I haven't told Lorna yet!

Without Lorna's bag
Does that mean Tricky ted's luggage made it? Was all Lorna's stuff in the ruck sack?
You'll have to mix and match.

Did you try them all? Which one tasted nicest? Which was the worst?
