After breakfast at 7.30 am it was off on our 30km Bike Ride into the Chinese Countryside....Lorna was not a happy bunny at this time!!

The route that we took was fantastic, the sceneray was awesome. We went by the Butterfly Cave and Moon Hill and got some great snaps. All in all the ride took about 3 hours and was worth every metre. Lorna even attempted to steal a little Chinese kid on the way round. We caught a man up on his bike and he had his one year old kid in a chair on the back of the bike. Lorna kept trying to peddle up behind him quietly to snatch the child she was now referring to as "Ping". She is going to get locked up one day. Lisa PB, get your bags packed coz you may need to be making the rest of the journey with me!!

After the bike ride we went to a local Yabgshuo restaurant to dine Our Yangshou digs
Our Yangshou digs
. We ordered for the six of us Beer Fish and Beer Duck. The beer fish is a local delicacy apparently and I have to say it was lovely. The beer duck was also very nice, and spicy, but it was all on the bone so became a little fiddley. Now when I say it was on the bone, everything was there, the feet, the head and the beak!! Jilly & Claire were a little put off by this to say the least! The food was really good though and also very cheap. I will try and remember the name of the restaurant and post it on here later.

In the afternoon we went to have some Tai Chi lessons. Initially there were just the five of us, but we were joined by 2 more half way through. The thing that hit is though was the fact that we were taken to what seems like the town square and had to do the lesson there, right in the middle of everybody. There were people taking pictures and even videoing the performance....I can feel YouTube coming back to haunt me here. Anyway, the lesson was really good and we managed to have a full understanding of self defence and relaxation afterwards. Although later that evening, we did try to do the same Tai Chi moves on the dancefloor of one of the local bars....not pretty I can tell you!!
