I have decided not to keep putting the price of everything in this blog. I have decided to set up a website at www.vickersontour.com unstead. At this website I will list all the prices and best tips when I get back next yearm so hopefully this will be of use for others who may travel the same way. Alsom it just takes too bloody long to log everything we buy at the moment! (This web address currently redirects you back to this blog site so there is no information on there yet).

Again, I am waiting to find a computer yet where I can upload photo's but I will be on it as soon as I can.

So, day two in Hong Kong started with torrential downpours, so that is when I took the time to update the last 3 days of this blog. We got breakfast in the hotel (included) and spent two hours on the hotel internet!! Sometimes I have been managing to get free wi-fi, but not all the time unfortunately.
At about 11.30am we decided to venture down to Kowloon Park Aviary. It was here that it suddenly dawned on us that we were hanging around a load of birds in a region that had just declared more outbreaks of bird flu!! Lorna asked me what the symptons were for bird flu. I told her that instead of going A-Choo when someone sneezes they actually go A-Cockadoodledoo instead. Just for a moment, just a brief moment, I could see in her a eyes a sense of belief, but luckily she quickly overcame those dumb blonde desires and laughed instead - phew!!

We then went to take a look at the infamous Chonking Mansions as we need a place to stay when we get back to Hong Kong on the 15th July. They don't look too bad from the front, but it just feels dodgy around here. There is an Irish bar next door though that is called, would you believe, Murphy's, so it might be worth just one more look tomorrow!!

After getting changed we decided to take the Star Ferry across to Hong Kong Island to check out a couple of things. Firstly the International Finance Centre (88 Floors High) and also Lan Kwai Fong, which Stu had said was the in place for night life. It then became apparent to me that Lan Kwai Fong is actually an anagram of "Loaf W**king"!!! I am not sure what Stu used to get up to in this area, so it was definitely worth checking out.....

Guy at the tall building told us to come back the next day as viewing was closed now, so we will come back tomorrow before 1pm....and it's FREE again! We then went on the hunt for food again as Lorna was wilting a little. LKF is a pretty hectic area on a Friday night. The bars are all congregated in one area which saves on the possibility of collapsing any further than 10 yards from a further alcoholic beverge. Went up one hill which was a dead end, only to find about 5 curry houses all next to each other trying to get your custom. It was sort of heaven, but I was no where near drunk enough to tackle a chinese/indian curry at this stage.
