Woke up this morning in the hotel at about 10.30am (so a good 4 and a half hours sleep), and wandered off to the bus station to get back to Rainworth.
Tonights leaving drinks were to be held at the Bird in Hand pub in Blidworth. Not sure how many were there, but it certainly blitzed the normal Satuday night volumes in this pub.
I can honestly say that I think everyone was leathered! Drinks were flowing freely (or more accurately at £30 a round for Shaun), from 7pm til about 2ish when the landlord finally had had enough of us. It was a really good night, I have attached a few photo's of the evening. We had friends and family there so it was good to get to see everyone for one last time before we bugger off. Although it is funny that there are some people that we haven't seen in a year, so in theory, it is no different to them if we go away or not I suppose. But it is always great to see them and we really appreciated them taking the time to come and say farewell to us both.
Can't be bothered to type anything more about the night - mainly because I can't remember, so I will save my typing fingers for the next post which will have our planned route in it. Cheers
