Just a short note to upload some pictures and to say we decided to move on to Nicaragua. It is raining lightly in Costa Rica today but it will get worse so we dont want to risk getting stuck in Los Chiles where there is nothing to do.

The trip to the national park of Caņo Negro is exclusively on a motor boat ($40 for 2 people for 3 hours) which means we would hardly see any wildlife, so maybe next time...

We are catching the 12.30 pm public boat bus to San Carlos which is 1 hour away down the river Rio Frio. San Carlos is the entry point for Nicaragua. Legally while we write this entry we are out of Costa Rica as we have our passports stamped with exit stamps...so for a few hours we are in no manīs land! Excellent!

From San Carlos our plan is to get another boat down the river San Carlos to the old spanish fortress of El Castillo. That will be another 3 or 4 hours, so we will stay there the night and then make the tourist part tomorrow.

There probably is internet there by now as it is a tourist hotspot (one of the top ones in Nicaragua) but just in case it might be a few days until we update...or at least put some text.
