Where I stayed
Cabinas Jurabi - $24 double, ensuite, ac, fridge, good
There is hardly anything here (apart from - strangely - about 8 supermarkets for a town that seems to have 1,000 inhabitants). It is the jumping point to Nicaragua and also where we can access the National Park of Caņo Negro. We have decided to try to visit the park, but given we have to go by boat and its low season, there seems to be a possibility that we wont find a guide or boat to take us.
If we dont manage to go to the national park we will push on to Nicaragua.
The bus from San Jose left at 5.30 am ($4 per person) and arrived at Los Chiles at 12.30 pm
The hotel we are in is quite acceptable (if a bit run down) but again we have seen a couple going into one of the rooms for 2 hours and then leaving. They had no luggage and the corresponding sounds of "luv" were heard. It cant be that all the hotels we go to are full of prostitution (this couple seemed fairly normal)...it must be that Costa Ricans are all 24 hour latin lovers and need to rush to hotels the moment they think about it!!
Anyway...a note of warning - we have no idea if we will be able to get access to internet in Nicaragua easily so dont get worried if a week or so goes past without photographs or news.
Until the next connection (which might just be tomorrow)...regards everyone!
