Where I stayed
We the went for breakfast at "Lilys" which is a coffee and restaurant which also has its terrace built over the sea. Veronika tested the local pancakes (delicious) and Marcos order the "Carribbean breakfast" thinking it would be some exotic fruit...there was fruit with it (plenty) but it was actually 2 huge pieces of marinated fish (even larger than the dinner the previous night!). Not the normal breakfast but delicious in any case...all for $10.
In order to burn some calories away we rented 2 bicycles to be able to get to Bluff Beach which is 9 kms away on the other side of the Island
Luckily most of the trip is flat so breaks are unnecessary, and additionally the rain had created huge puddles along the way so it was impossible to speed.
As we were struggling on the way out with the mud, a lorry that was passing offered to take us with our bikes so we happily accepted (see video). We did cycle all the way back though!
As you can observe from the pictures and video there is hardly anyone on the long stretches of beach. The water by the way is very warm, so jumping around in the waves for extremely good fun. We spent most of the day along the different beaches...a real luxury!
Nothing else for the time being...cheerio.
