This is how we felt this morning....we need an arse change. Where is Michael Jacksonīs surgeon. We want the same job on our backside! The pain....

Anyway, after a good breakfast (see previous day) we started our 7 hour ride back. We only needed one hour to start moving around in all positions on the seat. If it wasnt for the wonderful scenery we would have thought about this twice.

Today we did quite a few more gallops, although most of the time it was just to avoid trotting which is many more times painful!

The nice note of the day was after crossing a huge river. We heard a sound similar to a baby in some rocks. So we stopped to make sure no one had abandoned one there. Much to our surprise we found a cute grey puppy (photos soon...) crying and starving.

Veronika with her better horse riding took it in one arm and managed to horseride for a couple of hours until we found a nice Bolivian family (with 5 children) who were absolutely delighted to keep it. We exchanged a few minutes of conversation and the family offered us some minute crabs which you eat with the shell included. They were quite delicious. All the best for the little puppy, and hopefully it will grow to be a great bolivian!

Back in Tupiza now where we have had the first shower in 2 days (and we needed it!) and will have a great dinner later. It was sad to leave our horses after 2 days ("Speedy" with Marcos, "Jordy" with Veronika" and "Moro" with Valerie"). They were much, much better than we originally expected for Bolivia. Well fed argentinian horses.

We are going to go to Los Hechizos which we tried 2 nights ago and served some delicious chicken (pollo al vino) which beat many "Coq au vin" plates we had in France! Including wine for 45 Bolivianos per head (3 euros).

We also had a lucky hit when we were forced to change hotel for tonight. We not only pay 20 Bolivianos less making it 80 Bolivianos per night for a double with bathroom, but the place is much better (recently built and with modern appliances and a strong endless shower which we hadnt enjoyed in a few weeks). Good for us, bad for the other hotel which was OK but the owners were absolute fake twatos with fake smiles. The moment we booked our horse trip with another agency they started behaving worse..."Valle Hermoso" is their name. If you want a discount on their horse trips, just tell them you have an offer from Alexandros and they will automatically drop the price from 400 Bs to 350 Bs. They dont include lunches though!

Tomorrow we will travel to Potosi (city created by the Spanish in the 1500īs) which is the highest city in the world above 4,000 metres. We have a 7 hour bus trip so wont be there until later in the evening. Hopefully they will have a better broadband there.
