Theres is widelife all over the place (especially Llamas, Flamingos and Vicuņas) and the colours of the rocks keep changing every so often. Magical.
The best part was probably staying at a hostel (very basic) at 4,000 metres of height to be prepared for the geyser visit next morning at 5am. As it was the last night for the group of 4 (Mick was leaving to Chile next day) we decided to try some Bolivian "pisco" and some wine for dinner.
The so called "pisco" is the local Singani which has nothing to do with Pisco and tastes quite strong. So at 4,000 metres height were breathing is difficult we decided to only have one small Singani with Sprite and orange juice at an apperitif as it was affecting our speach quite quickly.
We "donated" the rest of the 1 litre Singani to the group of guides and drivers who greatly appreicated it! The rest of the night was an excellent immitation of "lost in translation" with Valeri singing french songs to here Ipod, Mick talking about the film the "7 Seals" and us trying to make some sense of the conversation...without much luck!
