Day 11
16 kms

A very gentle walking day. No mist in the morning and plenty of sun.

Only one steep slope, at the top of which there was a golf course. One of the players came up to me and explained in great detail many of the wonders of the golf course, including the fact that Ian Woosnan (I think its spelt like that) is an Honorary Member, and that if you make a straight line from the golf course, it goes through Dublin Golf Course and Augusta Golf course where he won championships....or something like that!

Had a great lunch lying down at the top of the hill, and managed to upload all the pictures which I couldn't yesterday as LLanymynech is in some sort of dark coverage area. Even the internet in the hotel was not working properly...

When I say lunch, it was actually just the biscuits from the hotel tea set. The full English breakfast kept me going all the way to Oswestry.

Short day walking so very little else to say. The hotel is fine, similar to a Travelodge, but the restaurant building looks smashing (see photo). A small town with a few streets with shops and the Sainsburys where I have finally managed to buy some sun cream as Im really feeling the rays now (see picture of tones of skin on the leg!).

Anyway. I have The Times, my travel books, my electronic book and Im off for stroll around the town and see where I end up having dinner. The hotel has a restaurant but I do want to wander around and see where I end. There is always a chippie over the street...but I had one already...don't want to kill the cholesterol levels.

Tomorrow will be the last day with a long distance involved, with the amount of 28kms - the longest of all Offas Dyke. So good rest will be needed tonight. I have already bought my packed lunch selection in the shops....hmm those sausage rolls look good!
