25 May 2007 - Friday
Having taken Friday off to ensure an even longer "long weekend", Peter and I left early Friday morning in the direction of Cardiff in Wales. The plan was to have a casual drive to Tredegar in Wales with a stop along the way in Bath, allowing us to visit the infamous Roman Baths.
At about 12:00, after some faultless navigation we arrived in the old town of Bath. We managed to locate some good underground parking before making our way down to the Roman Baths. Neither of us had previously visited the city/town, but it was easy enough getting around with the various signs around.

We found our way walking straight towards the Bath Abbey and making our way around the church, found the Roman Baths revealed. Though I'm not one for visiting museums or delving too much into history, this was definitely a place I wanted to visit.
We paid for our tickets and headed in to see what the Romans had created some hundreds of years ago. Here is a link to visit the official website for the Roman Baths.
We slowly made our way around looking, listening to our handheld speaker-gadgets, and reading up on the various artefacts and buildings, before finally emerging at the Pump Room and being "rewarded" with a horrible hot glass of the Spa water. No warm water from any sacred spring could possibly ever taste good.

Back on the road and off to Tredegar we were...
