Hunting for the Loch Ness Monster

Had a nice lie in, and once breakfast was eaten, we all headed out to Inverness to spend the day at and on the Loch Ness. The drive to Inverness was rather beautiful. The countryside very green, but then again everything was very green. Stopped off at a couple of places for a couple of photos and a bit of a wander.
Our first stop was just to view Corgarff Castle. Though we didn't get to look at the castle itself, we stopped at a slab of rock with peepholes directing your view to the castle and the surrounding countryside. This provided a couple of minutes of entertainment for the group as you can clearly see. Also took a couple of snaps of the Carrbridge which had been washed away some time ago. Still quite something special to look at.
 
 
Corgarff Castle
 
On arriving in Inverness we booked a boat trip on the Loch Ness with Jacobite. Had a bit of a quick snack and then headed down to board the boat. Spent about half an hour on the boat before getting off at the Urquhart Castle, where we wandered around and took photos for about an hour, before heading back by boat. Unfortunately, I have to report that we did NOT find the monster... We searched high and low, far and wide and nothing... Oh well, will leave it to someone else to spend their fortunes on.
 
 
 
In and around Urquhart Castle
Drove back home to Ballogie, and spent the evening having a couple of drinks and playing Canesta until 4 am...
