Where I stayed
It being a Saturday, traffic was pretty smooth and I was able to be in town by around 9.20 am. The training ran until 1 pm and thereafter, we had a short certificate presentation ceremony and then I just head back to the hotel.
As the check out time is at 12 noon, I have extended the room up to 6pm as my flight back is only at 8.45 pm . There is a surchage of SGD 10 per hour, thus the total extension cost me SGD 60. Anyway, it is being paid for by my company and I do not want to get early to the airport and just hang around there.
Well, right after the training, headed back to the hotel and had lunch at one of the Vietnamese restaurants nearby, just a few doors away. The food was average, maybe by Singapore standards it may be good, but from my experience, its average. In total, the simple lunch cost me SGD 4.
Right after lunch, head back to the hotel and got a good afternoon nap. Got up again around 4.30 pm and got ready to pack my stuffs and leave. At sharp 6, checked out and got a taxi to the airport. At the airport, I pretty much relaxed around at Deli France while waiting for the flight time.
When the boarding was announced, I was glad that I am heading home. Only concern at the back of my mind was how the situation would be in Kuala Lumpur as there was some protest rally which happened with lots of commotion throughout the whole day. In fact, there was a lot of highlight of this news in the Singaporean Channel too. I just hoped that it should have dwindled by now.
