This morning, it was pretty much an early rise for us, we all woke up by 6am, firstly to catch the hot water shower in the resort and also to catch the ferry commuting us to Samosir Island.

Basically, we had to be at Samosir jetty by 8 am as the ferry service, which includes the carriage of vehicles, happens only once in three hours and the journey is one hour. That being said, the driver advised us to be early to have our breakfast and as promised, we adjourned at the meeting point by 7am.

Breakfast was quick, by 7.45 am we were done and left the resort heading to our tour of Samosir Island, the land of the Bataks. The entire breakfast hall was filled with Malaysians and all the rooms in the resort were full. I guess most Malaysians must be running to Indonesia for their holidays. Mostly following large tour groups, typically in the size of 20 to 30 people per group. The breakfast menu was quite simple for the day, Indonesian Style Fried Noodles and Indonesian Style Fried Rice. Coffe typically in Indonesia is served without milk (just black) and same goes with tea. The common drink there is 'Teh Botol' which is bottled tea without milk.

With breakfast being done, we headed to the car to continue our tour for the day.

Yes Sridhar, its true. In fact also due to the exchange rate, Indonesia and Thailand are two countries which are relatively very cheap for us to visit.
