After the stop at Candi Muara Takus, we headed for the Gua Tujuh Serangkai. Along the way, we were already feeling very hungry, especially me as I had skipped the breakfast at the hotel this morning. Therefore collectively, we had decided to stop at the next good eatery along the way. This place is exactly on the border of Kampar district and Rokan Hulu district.

From Muara Takus, we headed backwards thew way we came earlier. Only difference being, once we reached Rantau Berangan Town, instead of heading towards Pekanbaru City, we headed the other way on the road leading to Medan.

Not far from this junction, we came across a good stop to have our lunch. We pulled over and had our lunch here. Not a fancy restaurant, just an average eatery for the locals passing through that way.

No fans or air conditioning inside the restaurant. Just many tables and the standard Padang (Minang) food, my favorite anyway. This is the first time I am trying Ikan Puyu which was grilled. Hmm tastes great. In fact this fish was caught from the pond just behind the restaurant.

For a meal for 5 pax, and not light meals, we ate like a glut, the total bill came up to only IDR 73,000 . Thats around RM 23. Absolutely worth it. After the meal, we continued our journey at 1225.
