The lunch stop which I had planned is the famous Lucky Curry Chicken Bun outlet in Lukut which is the neighboring town north of Port Dickson. As I had the GPS coordinates, it was not too difficult to find this place.
It is just a mere 15 minutes drive from the resort and is located along the main road. A specialty of this place is the buns. They started off with the Curry Chicken buns. These buns have a filling of curry chicken and they are baked together to perfection and the curry is not pre cooked but the cooking process happens during the baking of the bread.
As you can see from the above photos, it is set in foil and is separated by a plastic wrapping to avoid it from sticking to the bread. The curry is excellent and the bread is super soft. Beside this offering, today they have increased the variety to include Pork Ribs Curry and Pork Ribs Roast as well.
I preferred to stick with the original but please bear in mind that it sells very fast. They also have an outlet in the city of Seremban which is the capitol of the state of Negeri Sembilan which is half an hours drive from here.
The curry is absolutely delicious and it is as good as one done by an Indian and tastes somewhat similar to that made in clay pots. I do not know how they do it but truly a Chinese had perfected the curry which is an Indian cuisine. They have loads of tourists who drive down just to try their buns and it goes as far as Singapore. Even today as I am here, there were quite a number of Singaporean bikers who had come this far just to try this bun.
Well, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and a bun was good enough for the 5 of us. The cost of this large bun is RM 38 which is around USD 10.30 and the small one would cost RM 20 which is around USD 6.50 .
Now, with lunch done, time to head back to Kuala Lumpur.
