However, I was still surprised to see some people swimming in the sea at this time of the night. It was high tide, pitch black and nothing that you could do in case of emergency. People would not even notice that you are there except for the noise that you could possibly make and still, there was literally no one around.
A very risky act it was. Well coming back to us, there was nothing much that we could do as well. We could not even walk by the beach as the lighting that was supposed to be in place was not switched on. I did not want to risk walking in the darkness as Port Dickson at this time of the year and especially at night is famous for the migratory stop of sea snakes from all over the world and they are highly venomous.
So, we just stood on the pavement which was just about 10 feet from the sea and chatted while listening to the sound of the waves. We were here for about an hour until midnight. My mom especially had trouble standing too long and I did not want to strain her too much as she just recently underwent a heart bypass surgery. As it struck midnight, we head back to the apartment which was another 45 minutes drive.
Luckily I had a good camera and flash and I was able to record a good and well lit photograph of us at this beach which I have included here. Once back to the apartment, the ladies slept and we boys kept up while chatting over a beer for a couple of hours. Hey....its break time anyway. :)
