Well, here comes another year and with it, Deepavali comes along. It feels as if the year just started but now it is almost year end.

Deepavali is widely celebrated by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs worldwide. That being said, we planned to spend this years Deepavali holidays in Port Dickson, which is a beach town located in the southern state of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.

My parents were already here with me and so is my brother. Today we pretty much just had dinner outside and spent the rest of the night at home in anticipation of the travels tomorrow. I truly hope that in this trip, I am just going to relax and do absolutely nothing in Port Dickson. My plan is to take a full break from my hectic work schedule and spend quality time with the family.

The hotel is all booked by last week but unfortunately the prices have tripled due to the festive season. This time, we would be staying at Glory Beach Resort which is located near Port Dickson town itself. It is a three bedroom apartment overlooking the straits of Malacca. The apartment cost me an expensive USD 350 per night when the usual rates are around USD 100 per night.

Well, with that said, it's time to call it a night as I have a reasonable journey to perform tomorrow.
