Lots of black lights, 35 tv's, high lighter marker tattoos, glow sticks, lasers, alien-like costumes, and dancing......that about describes it. The amount of effort that was put into this party was impressive. The Waste Barn was completely transformed. The only bummer was that there aren't any indoor bathrooms in the vicinity so a u-barrel-port-o-potty was placed outside the party (outside---brrrrrrrr).
Next week--another two day weekend (yay) and it's the 4rth of July! I think there's going to be a pig roast on Friday? I've also heard that one of the events will be the medical staff teaching folks on how to suture wounds (using the pig). Ron will be excited about that--he's been wanting to learn how to stitch someone up for awhile. Also, a big dinner party at the Kiwi Base on Saturday and we've been invited. Having dinner over there is very home-like versus cafeteria-style. Every Thursday, 10 or so people from here take a shuttle over there for dinner. I think Ron and I have been 3 times already and can't wait to go again this weekend.
