After removing the kayak gently back down out of the house..we propped it on top of the Audi and took it down to the beach for a test drive. The water was surprisingly warm and everyone did a good job. Mats was a little wobbly, but all in all good times all around. Ina took it down a ways toward their future house for storage so Mats walked down the beach, Staffan moved the car, and I walked in the shallow water. Unfortunately for me though...I chose the wrong type of stairs to walk up and down. They were these home made wooden stairs that led up to the little pier and some of the bottom steps were covered in green algae. Trying to be careful I walked extra slowly down, but to no avail I fell on my butt. And now have a nice bruise on my lower back and some scrapes above my left heel. No pain no gain.
