But before all the revelry we stopped by Ina and Mats (Staffan's parents) new home to pick up some papers from the current owner. I have never seen the house up close before, just whenever we drove by to the local windsurfing spot, so I was very interested to check it out. The house is located on Strandvägen, which translates to Beach Way or Road and is right on the water. The current occupant had the most unusual taste in decor from a big bronze bull to random other trinkets that added to a hodge podge of craziness. I am glad Mats and Ina are going to tear it apart and make it their own, because it was just all over the place
Driveway Madness
. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the inside because we were not there to snoop...just to stop by for a brief time...but just imagine going to a garage sale or a flea market and just throwing everything together in a house and that is what it looked like inside. It's only saving grace was the statue of Liberty replica in the planter in the driveway. It was the funniest thing to see in Sweden. Money really can't buy taste. All in all the location is what they paid for and it is beautiful looking out into the water and being able to the see the sunsets over the horizon into Denmark. So I wish them the best with the remodeling and will be excited to come back when it is all done and enjoy the tranquility of living by the sea.
