After stopping by the Hobroh's summer house in Kyl Strand south of Borby we headed to see another Swedish Landmark called the Ale's Stones. There are a lot of theories onto what the Ale's Stones are...they are sort of like Sweden's version of Stonehenge. They are 59 large boulders set together in the shape of a ship. Many believe it to be a burial spot for multiple people. The spot overlooks the sound between Sweden and Germany and lies on a cliff that drops down into the water. Compared to the west coast of Sweden these cliffs differ greatly in their form for the sheer grass and rock faces that dip into the ocean. Unfortunately it was fairly cloudy so it wasn't as spectacular, but it was nice to see nonetheless with it's untouched coast and the quiet that you sometimes can't find on most coasts. It was hauntingly beautiful.
