Day 46

Peter's speciality is cooking. The man makes a mean breakfast. Good thing because I'm a mean eater. We needed to get some things from the store to finish our assortment of ingredients. We took his car and what a surprise. The car that's been sitting outside the house was his. And when I say car, I mean a real old Volkswagen van that was rebuilt. It was quality. So cool. We get what we need from the store, he cooks the omelet and I realize that the man made the omelet for me.

We ended enjoying some more of Peter's ability with food when we decided to barbeque some of the excess food that was in the house (and there was a lot of it). Sarah, Peter and I enjoyed a few beers and good barbequed food on sunny day in San Jose on the back porch. That's how life should be! Peter's pimp car

Then we watched No Country for Old Men, crazy movie. I got a chance to get to know Sarah then. We were actually waiting for a call from Tanya so we could go bowling together. That's how the Freudenbergers roll. Eventually, we got the call.

To my great surprise, Dan is a tournament bowler. We went to the bowling alley and we met up with him there. It was exciting to see him again. Tanya, Dan, Peter, Sarah and I played a few games and it might have been the best I ever bowled! My first game I got 150 followed by 2 games over 100. The best I ever bowled and maybe the most fun I've had bowling (because of that). Dan was a bad ass in bowling, I got close with the first game and then blew me out of the water with the rest.

When we got home there was some time to settle but Peter made sure the we got some food at In-N-Out Burger before I left San Jose. So Peter and I take a trip there to bring back the family some quality fast food in his awesome car. He was pissed that he had to put gas in his car that'd been sitting there for maybe a full year. It was packed at the place. Apparently, this chain opened up more recently in San Jose. I was surprised to find that despite being fast food, they cut the potatoes in front of you and fry them there. They aren't frozen which makes for a good french fry. The menu is kind of confusing though with it's "secret" options.

So the plan for tomorrow is for me to go to Sacramento by the evening. Mark, Peter's older brother lives on the way there, I might take him and Sarah up there.
