I am very happy with the apartment we have marble floors, large terrace and totally furnished. We may stay for another month or so we havent decided. The city seems to have more order than those in Peru, everything closes early and police patrol often which gives you a secure feeling especially sonce Im not travelling alone
We plan to visit next nearby Bahia de Caraquez, San Vincente and Canoa which I hear a small beautiful beach towns. I inquired about renting a car since they are 3 hours away but the law says I can only drive for 30 days in this country from arrival so next week I have 1 month in this country so Im SOL, so it looks like the good ole bus.
Its an Air Force Base here so American products are plentiful, I finally found my bagels, waffles, Pancale mix and Hagen Daz. Ohhh Weee!
Gas here is $1.50, they get their gas from venezuela. Can you believe it. Everything else is about 3 times less with the dollar being the legal tender here, it makes life easier now. (Math is not my best subject)
So thats it, >Ive got some beautiful photos to add here so >Ill alert ya when I add them.
