We went to Manta which  is north of Puerto lopez on a bus- This guy next to ,me was carrying chikens in a knapp sack, it was a pretty sordid group of characters. Babies crying everywhere!! $6 for 3 hr. ride to Manta. Its a beach city a litte smaller than Guayaquil which is the 3rd biggest city in Ecuador. To be honest Im not in a rush to get back to the big city, the city  that I am in now , Puerto Lopez is smallll but has aloty of character. Puerto lopez really has only one restaurant that we like and we eat there everynite. The owners serve the fod and are an American ouple who came here in the 80´'s and stayed. We are staying in a Cabina, very nice! 

Manta is very touristy and crowded. No its not like florida or anything just a major beach tourist attraction for ecuadorians. Weve made a trip to Manta whle we still have our cabina in Puerto Lopz  to kinda scope it out first. We almost missed the bus back to puerto lopez. Crazy cab drivers in Manta, the place remined me of Lima,, not half as big but the attitudesof the big city seem the same. I had a year of that so I need a rest. Well see in the next couple of days if I decide to go there next and get a room, this was just a quick visit.
