Spent the day yesterday in a cooking class run by Smart Cook here in Chiang Mai (800baht for the day).

The course was great fun, and we're now experts (of course) at making Tom Ka Gai soup, Spring Rolls, Papaya Salad, Sweet & Sour stir fried chicken, green curry paste, panaeng curry paste & green & panaeng curries. Super. We were only 5 on the course, which was great, walking round the market in the morning, buying things for the course, we saw heaps of other groups doing the same thing, and none of them had less than 10 people, so we were well lucky. I'd say if you're here and looking to do a course, book it direct with the school instead of going via an agent or your guesthouse. There are loads of schools around, so just pick one that looks good :)

We had loads of fun doing the course - and eating what we'd made.

We're off down to Koh Tao on Saturday for the start of our island adventures. Internet access down there isn't as reliable, so updates may come a little less often (and there won't be as many photos uploaded either :)
