Our first official post on our 2 month trip. We left Seattle at 7:20 am on Tuesday the 22nd.  Had a 4 hour layover in Vancouver and then a 13hr flight on Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong.  On the way we passed by Mt. McKinley.

The Hong Kong Airport is huge.  Now we're hanging out in the CP Business Class Lounge after our showers.  Getting ready to load for our 9 hr flight to Adelaide for a 1 1/2 hr layover and then on to Melbourne, our final destination. We will be a day ahead of you minus 5 hrs.  So, Karen missed her birthday at home but we're celebrating right now on 4 hrs of sleep in the last 24 hrs.

Thanks for letting us share the journey with you...except we are getting more sleep than you!
Maybe you can catch the finals of the Australian Open?
Travel safely.

Karen, Happy Birthday from a guy in Great Falls, Montana. Stu and Karen, Thanks for your business. Sounds like quite an adventure. I appreciate being part of the blog to keep up on you.

Happy birthday to Karen and for both of you, as the Dale Evans song goes, "Happy trails to you"

Sounds like traveling to Hong Kong was a piece of cake; oh, that reminds me, a BIG Happy Birthday to you Karen. I hope you didn't sleep it all away. On a side note Serna lost last night or today, so you won't see her in the finals. She was beat by the number 3 seed. Can't think of her name. Happy trails, keep up on the blog. Great pictures too! Kitty
