Today, after sending Martin on his way to WORK, hehehe,  I visited the Arab and Indian neighborhoods of Singapore.

Kampong Glam is name of the Arab part of town.  Arab traders were the earliest settlers here.  Together with Buginese, Boyanese and Javanese settlers, they began the Muslim neighborhood.  There are many small shops selling textiles, leather, straw, cane and rattan.  Great Malay food also!!

Little India is the spiritual and commercial center of the local Indian community.  The streets are more lively here, with sounds of Indian traditional music and the smell of incense in the air.
