.will travel.  To the border tomorrow - 6 hours, then to Popayan on
Saturday - 6 hours, then to Cartagena on Monday - 2 hours (flying).
Can't
tell you what a relief it was that my new passport was at the Embassy
this morning.  I think I would have thrown up if it hadn't been.  Then
had to go and get a stamp in it from Ecuador immigration - what a
performance that was.  I still didn't get a new tourist card - the
official insisted it wasn't necessary.  I've been rehearsing that in
Spanish for when I get fined $100 for not having a card tomorrow at the
border.
