Where I stayed
We walked around the Ski museum at the bottom of the mountain for awhile then headed over to the down of Franconia at ate at a cute little Italian place. I had a chicken parmasian sub and some oatmeal cookies..mmm.
After lunch we went to The Flume Gorge which was right around the corner from Cannon Mountian. The gorge was amazing. There is a trail that takes you right through it where you can stop at different view points that give you a little bit of history about the gorge. It was a really pretty.. lots of waterfalls, streams and huge rock cliffs.
After going to the Flume we drove over to where the Cog railroad starts up Mt. Washington. I was so tempted to take it up because there was seriously not even a smigen of a cloud in the sky and I can imagine the views from the top. But we decided against it as we had been gone all day and Harley stayed back at the campsite and we figured he was ready to be taken out and fed. On the way home we saw three foxes, one which stood right next to the jeep and stared at us. It was weird that he wasn't afraid of us and we thought it might be rabid, but it looked healthy so I don't know?
Anyway, another great day in New Hampshire-couldn't have been better! :o))
