I'm reeeaally enjoying our time here in New Hampshire. I was sad to leave Maine to leave my parents and Tim and I were enjoying other people's company. Its nice traveling just the two of us, but its also nice having other faces around to see and talk to :o)
Last night Tim and I broke out the vodka and had a killer campfire. We ended the night in the bus with a game of scrabble. As we were playing I got a phone call from my 8th grade LA teaching counterpart who informed me our 8th graders scores were the 5th highest in writing in the ENTIRE state!! This really topped the night off for me. I am so excited and so proud of the students. They could definitely be a tough crew a lot of the time, but they pulled through and performed awesome on the FCAT..yay! I can now walk into school in August with full confidence :o)
Anyway, back to our travels..
Tim and I woke up around 8:30 (thanks to Harley once again) and pretty much spent the morning laying around, reading, eatting muffins, eggs and toast for breckfast mmmm. The weather dropped last night. It was in the low 50s when we woke up and its still pretty chilly out. We went to the Androscoggin Ranger and VIsitor Center this morning to get some information on local hiking trails. Tomorrow we plan on hiking a 2.5 mile trail called the Northern Imp Trail. I'm looking forward to getting some exercise while being outside in the wilderness. I would love to be able to climb up Mt. Washington but we are not equipped for it and I think I would end up carrying Tim down the mountain lol.. not something I think I want to do this year ;o)

The views must be incredible. Just the pictures you have posted look really nice.
I dunno what it must be like to not have people around to socialize with. And to hike 2.5 miles....oh my, personally i prefer something with a throttle and brake but to each his own.
by the sounds of it, you guys are having a blast.
Congrats on the exciting news from school. I'm sure your proud of your students!

The views have been great! We hiked Mt. Madison the other day and I have to say, there were times I preferred something with a throttle and brake to get us up too..haha, but the exercise was great and its nice being out in the woods.
You would thinking being alonewould get boring...but we have actually been meeting people here and there. We enjoy the time together regardless though, people around or not ;o)
