Where I stayed
Indian Pond Camp

The last week has really flown by us so fast. Tuesday and Wednesday night we stayed in Billerica at Tim's friends’ house. It was good to see them and it was wonderful being able to take a shower in a place not surrounded with bugs and cobwebs!

On Thursday we headed to Maine to a camp on Indian Pond. Tim and I were very excited. We went there last year and loved it, and of course I was going to see my Mom and Pat which was even more exciting for me (it had been MONTHS since I had seen them last).

We spent the last few days at the camp going to Moxie falls and fishing on the stream, fishing out on Indian Pond and exploring the area. We had some amazing food (of course as my Mom makes the best food ever) and also had some amazing campfires! Tim and I stopped at the New Hampshire liquor store on the way and stocked up on vodka, margaritas and wine (so of course we broke into that a few times too). Tim insisted on buying a brand of vodka primarily for the name on the bottle. It was called "Effen Vodka". So that, of course, was the term of the weekend. “Let’s have some EFFEN vodka!” The weather was awesome the entire time, mostly sunny and around 70 in the day. It rained for a whole 5 minutes at one point, but other than that was great!

All in all our stay here was a blast! Staying at the camp in Maine was one of the highlights of our trip up North so it was tough when Mom and Pat left and we had to spend the last night there alone, thinking how this leg of the trip is over in the morning. We still have a lot of fun things planned and a lot of people we are looking forward to see, so moving on shouldn’t be so sad once we get on the road! It’s Monday morning now and as we look outside we are really not looking forward to packing up and leaving as it has been down pouring for the last few hours. I guess I should just be happy the weather has been awesome for us this far!

Now.. we are heading up to the white mountains (New Hampshire) for a couple weeks. I am sure I will have tons of pictures to post very soon because last year we LOVED it there and took hundreds of gorgeous photos. Hopefully I will find somewhere with Internet connection so I am not cut off from the world for a whole two weeks. I love camping and could do it for months on end, but it would be difficult to not have connection to people. Its sad how phone service and internet service has become such a need!

PS-I saw my first moose right before we got to our camp at Indian Pond-exciting!
