This will be a quick one. The weather has been strange since we've been here. The days have been very hot - low to mid thirties; but then at night it's been so humid you could cut the air with a knife, and this always preceded a big thunder and lightning storm. It has only changed in the past couple of days...the overnight storms have stopped, but they've been replaced with strong winds and intermittent rains. We ended up staying a few days longer than originally planned. There is a lot to do for us in regards to organizing the rest of our travels before we head down under, namely researching some accommodations in Greece (we are flying so will be without Freda) and also researching the logistics for our southeast Asia portion (i.e. visas). Well, at least this is our official excuse for hanging around here; I think an underlying factor is also the comfort of a home!

So, one BBQ, one game of mini-golf, one fixed tooth, two haircuts, one big mexican dinner, lots of sausages, and several German beers later we are ready for more. Next up, among other sights, are the German and Austrian Alps, before we head into Italy to catch a ferry to Corsica for eighteen days. This was a much needed break and our batteries are recharged. We're looking forward to tomorrow morning when we start Freda up and hit the open road again!
