Now I have the pleasure of inform you that we're currently at Disney's Hollywood Hotel in Hong Kong. But before getting onto that I must discuss our journey here: Our return to the airport was once again on the Airport train and our luck resulted in our service also being run by a Millenium train set. A quick view of the new outer suburban train sets under testing was also had as we made our way to our departure platform at Central. Our flight departed from the end of the terminal pier so we could see lots of action outside, including a LAN A340 and a Thai 747 in Star Alliance Livery. The flight itself was good even with the intermittent turbulence. Our on demand TV was fantastic also, failing to succumb to the breakdowns mentioned in the Sydney papers. I watched a few things including Who Killed the Electric Car? and the horror movie God on my Side.
We descended into Hong Kong from the north but we were on the wrong side of the plane for any good views. The airport was well managed as usual and we took some time to buy a SIM card for Belinda and our tourist Octopus cards. Only the blue Lantau taxis would take us to Disneyland at that time, even though all companies should have legally been able to take us. The park's fireworks were going off as we descended into the resort, making for a perfect arrival. Check-in was easy and we now have all our food vouchers, park tickets and maps. Despite the meals on the plane Belinda was adamant that she required more food so we popped on down to the Hollywood and Dine to grab her some snacks.
What we found to be touching was that ALL of the staff, including cleaners, say hello in the hallways. Our room is a garden view one and is on the top (9th) floor. Everything is great except that the pool here is closed from 8th Jan for a month. We're now about to head down for a breakfast before going to the park and are extremely excited!

Not your usual 'horror' movie, but certainly way more scary than any Disney rides you will go on. We loved the photos from the Magic Kingdom. Still really jealous parents.
