Hi all,
I hereby begin this travel blog for my EuroJap Mish Mash, a journey consisting of 3 separate trips and a myriad of memories.
Although I've done this travel thing a few times before I'm very excited for Sunday's departure and the thought of this being my second longest trip, after the original round the world experience, just adds nervousness to the pot! A very full 71 days of travel lies ahead and I guess, from reading my previous blogs, that the biggest difference is that I am yet to start packing or checking my documents yet, I'm just too excited!
This will be different; I'll be travelling with my parents for a meaningful amount of time, I will be on the road with Belinda for a month and then have to face a big farewell before inducting Steve into the wonderful world of Japan. It's all just crazy and, in the absence of my brother, I am now fully responsible for many of the bookings and the coordination of the trip so everything already feels different.
As has been the case with my last 2 trips I'll be sending updates from my phone while I'm out and about so keep checking the blog even when you don't get notification emails because photos and little bits of text will randomly be coming in as I send them from my phone. Full updates will come when I have access to the internet.
Stay tuned, update your details on Facebook or in the Travelpod address book and enjoy the updates as they come to you live from around the world!
Next stop: Nürnberg!
Thanks,
Tom
