Cambodia Day 3
Today is our last day in Cambodia. I got up for the sunrise at ankor Watt. It is suppose to be one of the coolest things but of course the day I do it, it was overcast so there was no real sunrise. I still had a lot of fun. The historic sites here are so cool. There is no rope that prohibits you. You can go anywhere and climb. It is like a giant jungle gym. I loved it. It is one of the wonders of the world and it is very easy to see why. There were these stairs that I climbed but they were basically gone because they had withered over the years. There were horses running around the area which was really cool. I appreciated the fact that even though it is a historic site many people still used it to worship. There were various sites for worshiping the buddas within the temple. I saw a couple of monks in the area as well. Next we went to the Ta Prohm temple where tomb raiders and two brothers was filmed. That one I climbed all the way up to the roof of the temple. The coolest thing about this one was that there were various trees growing out of the temples. Our guide said this was due to a time when the worshipers would go to the top and through seeds. The temple was like in the middle of the forest. As you walked you felt like nothing was to come ahead of you... Along the dirt road to the temple, there was a band playing. As you looked closer they had deformities. I saw a sign that said they were land mine victims. It is very sad because this country has the most landmines that our undiscovered so one must be very careful when walking on their own. After this we checked out of the hotel and went to a couple more temples. One was pretty cool because it had a huge Buddha. Here a couple of my friends and I grabbed some rickshaws and went up the road to where the elephants were. We got to ride elephants and it was like one of the coolest things. After this it was a flight back to Vietnam. After me and my sisters hit up the seventh deck for a cheeseburger we called it an early night.
