Where I stayed
We got to go to 3 different vineyards and sample all the wines they had to offer. I have to say some of them were the tastiest wines around, some basically were minging! They recommended to spit but being the rebels (drunks) that we are we ignored that advice and swallowed every drop they gave us.
Returning back to the hotel Jess needed a nap (for some reason
With a little bit of a merry buzz, that evening we went to a cabaret show. Beach Blanket Babylon, worth having a look online about it, was the funniest show we have seen in a long time! Very over the top characters taking the Mickey out of the latest topical events (they update it weekly) and singing a huge back catalogue of famous songs! The original show was all about the costumes and in particular the hats had to be OTT. By the end of the show the last costume hat was aprrox 6foot tall and 6foot wide which opened up to reveal the 7 dwarfs playing instruments inside a lady's hat! As you can tell it was a very unique show!
Now being in SanFran we had to go see the scene, we went to the area called The Castro (I thought it was the name of a pub so shows u how cultured I have been on this holiday!) We had lunch in the famous Harvy Milk bar. After recognizing my accent the our waiter's told us his boyfriend came from Chelmsford in Essex (miles away from home yet there’s always Essex boys about!!).
Now by this stage we were basically drunk! So what’s a group to do when in the gay capital of the world? Hit a gay club of course! Those tutti fruities sure know how to party! Nats had some appealing offers from 2 lesbians and I had to physically remove a small philipinos mans hands from my pants! Defiantly an experience for us all (we do apologise for the mess in our photos! An offer of buy one get one free on all drinks meant we headed home at 3 this morning a little worse for wear! Tho Jess and Nats did sit up to watch the royal wedding whilst I got lost in the hotel foyer for 30 mins!
Think we are all dreading tomorrow morning!
