So we arrived in Nashville on friday night after a smooth run from louisville, and its official that liz and me have been replaced by Marleen and Darleen, yes yoall, we are now drinking out of the orange and milk cartons, spitting and chewing baccy, and my beauty regime is shaving my legs in a bucket outside our evie the r.v.

Arrived here friday afternoon, after setting up we got our togs on and went to downtown nashville, what a crazy place, it opens and 6am in the morning and closes at 3am.  All the bars have bands playing from country to rock all free and all competing with each other, it was a hard decision where to start our bar crawl.  We decided the first stop Tootsies one of the originals what else could we drink but margaritas and beer for the boys (me and darleen were on our downhill slide).  several bars later (see photos) we decided we should eat so we hit the Hardrock cafe which had been taken over by the Florida Gators and football team that was in town for the college football day, what a totally different atmosphere from the english football fans.  A great crack all round and plenty of laughs. Then on to more bars, more margaritas and beer and last call Ugly Coyotes bar, we even got id'd what do you make of that? Not our favourite one,, but one we had to go to darleen and me even danced on the bar, but no photos were allowed.  All that was left was to stagger home.

Next day after a lie in and we did need it we had to take evie the  r.v for her refit of a new wing mirror. so after this we had to go to replenish our stocks and not the easiest thing to park an r.v in the local supermarket particularly after the antics last night.      The afternoon was spent with a swim in the  apparently heated swimming pool (not) but still perservered.    That evening we hit the grand ole opry, and omg what a place the live show that has been going since 1935 is recorded every friday and saturday nights, and although we didnt recognise the artists.  Today we decided that a walk would be good so we visited the Gaylord opry hotel which is a experience in itself. It has 3000 rooms and covers acres and acres of land, It has inside waterfalls lakes were you can take a boat ride, inside gardens with countless flowers of all kinds of varieties and one of the conversatorys has a glass dome covering 1 square acre it just has to be seen to be believed.

Our last night here in Nashville was spent upon the Captain Jackson steam paddle showboat,a three hour trip up the cumberland river with dinner (yum) and a live show this was fantastic. we meet two couples from Nova Scotia and a good night was had by all a lovely crowd, cheers guys. and a great end to our stay in Nashville, a great place pity we cant stay longer but its off to Memphis tomoz guys.
