The drive up to Seattle was on a gorgeous sunny day. The view of Mt Hood and Mt Rainier was spectacular. We got to Seattle in good time, a little too good. The hotel couldn't check us in until 15:00 so we mucked around for a while.

After getting our hotel room we took a drive into downtown Seattle. We ended up at the Westlake Mall and we had a bit to eat at the food court. Downtown Seattle was a nice place to go and walk around.

The next day there were blue skies again so Adrian and I went straight to the Space Needle. The views from the observation deck were magnificent. We had a coffee whilst taking in the panorama. We watched float planes landing and taking off and gazed at the snowcapped mountains.

Next we headed to the waterfront and Pikes Place Market. It was interesting walking around and browsing the shops. We had lunch on one of the piers and then headed back to pack and get sorted for dinner. We dined at Blu Water Bistro on Lake Union.

We weren't looking forward to the following day as it signalled the end of the amazing 3 month trip. The next day was the day we caught the plane back to Miami. Adi & I weren't ready for the end of the adventure and knowing we had to head back to the UK for winter.

However, I was looking forward to being a bridesmaid at Rachel & Steve's wedding and catching up with friends and family. Thank-you Jean and John for opening your home to us and helping us get back on our feet and fantastic home cooked meals (one thing you definitely miss when travelling).

Returning to England also was the next step to new beginnings and saving for our move to New Zealand which was exciting in itself. Who knew the adventures we would have in the next chapter, and what life would hold.

To my Adi, what an amazing adventure we had together. I couldn't imagine the journey with anyone else, I look back with fondness often and only ever regret it wasn't longer :-) You are my rock and I love you so much xoxo
