We had quite a long trip up to Orlando from the Keys with loads of straight roads. The highlight was passing through Lake Placid where there are loads of lakes. Didn't see any scary big Crocs though! We arrived at the Hawthorn Suites and again were pleasantly surprised. This hotel has definitely been the best value for money so far. Free internet, breakfast and parking :-)

On Monday 20 July, it was the 40 year anniversary of Neil Amstrong and Buzz Aldrin walking on the Moon so we headed to Kennedy Space Center. It was SO interesting. We ended up getting there a bit late in the day but still managed to pack alot in. We saw 2 movies at the IMAX, did the Shuttle Launch Experience and the bus tour where we got to stop at the Observation Gallery and Apollo / Saturn Visitor Center but we were too late for the International Space Station Center :-( Next time! I would totally recommend it to anyone.

Tuesday came with brilliant sunshine and we bought passes for Sea World and Aquatica for $99 each. It was definitely worth it as we spent all day Tuesday at Sea World taking in the shows and then all day Wednesday at Aquatica. It was awesome. I haven't had so much fun in ages. I felt like a big kid and screamed like a girl coming down some of the slides much to Adrian's delight. He was cracking up laughing at me :-)

We were considering packing in Universal Studios the following day but decided it would be better to have a leisurely drive up to Ocala.
