There were really nice people here to greet us, the moment we hit land. The main manager guy took us to our hut things where we found our long lost brother max asleep in the hut. We changed out of our disgusting smelly hot clothing we'd been wearing for the past 28 hours into fresh, climate appropriate clothing. We then headed to the lodge to grab some lunch where they served us an amazing three course meal (salad, pasta, and fruit cake) that im sure was five star worthy. We then headed back to our cabins for a well-deserved nap, and the next thing I knew I was being woken up by erin because we were going to visit a water fall. We put on our hiking shoes, met up with a guide and were off. We went for about a 10 minutes hike, including breaks for the guide, Roberto, to tell us some interesting things about the forest. We arrived at the water fall and Roberto told us to jump in, and we did! It was crazy cold, and had a pretty sting current, but it was really fun, and a great way to really wake up. My dad had his under water case for his camera and got some pretty great footage. After that we went back to our cabins, chilled for a bit then went off to the bar for a pre-dinner cocktail. We chatted with some other visitors, like the family Max hung out with while we were MIA, they were really nice and had a trip very similar to ours planned. We proceeded to dinner after our drink and had another marvelous meal with a pastry appetizer, rib eye steak, and an organic chocolate brownie for desert. After that everyone was exhausted and full. Most of us running on only 3 hours of sleep in the past 24 hours, we could barely keep our eyes open. So here we are now. Max and erin both reading, and me on the blog. Today was an extremely long long long day, but it was super fun, and I can’t wait for tomorrow!
