A quick tram trip, and we were home again in the Kosmonaut, but it was empty. The whole place had been full of Danish girls, and Matt and Ayton had gone to live with Eddie and Brian. It didn't take long for it to start filling with people, so we took a walk around, just to get aquainted again with the place. It had also gotten colder in the week that we were away, but once we were back inside, Jason and Katie, Mark, us two and Eddie did the only thing possible, drink vodka. He pulled out a 1.5 litre bottle, and the five of us started drinking, By the end, it was just the three Aussies, and we were all pretty pissed !!!
Because of the too much vodka the night before, I didn't move until 11ish. We took a walk over to the Armenian Cathedral. The murals inside were pretty impressive. Afterwards, we took a walk up to Castle Hill. There use to be a castle, but now its just a hill with a lookout. On one side is old L'viv, the other is full of EBA where the majority of the people live. I think we had stayed on the right side !!! We grabbed some roadies, and went back. Hours later, Eddie the owner turned up and we tried various rstaurants before we settled on Lebanese. Talal the owner fed us great food and beers with zur. This is beer with cognac, and after about four, all you can say is zur !!! Being the nice people that we are, we had bought 1.5 litres of vodka, and 2 litres of tomato juice, all for 2.60 !!! A load of us started drinking, then it was time to get more. Fuck knows how much we bought, but it wasn't long before it was just the three of us again. I don't remember what time I died, but I did !!!
At lunchtime, I awoke, and Lucy said she had stayed up all night drinking vodka, so it killed the day. We did manage to buy our tickets for the train to Poland and also for the opera. Lucy crashed early, and we also thought it was time to give our bodies a rest from the vodka thrashing.
Sadly, it's our last day in L'viv. We bought some more presents, and then it was time to go and see Die Fledermaus. We had better seats this time, and it still cost only 7.50. Fuck I wish it was this cheap in London. The opera was great, but it was in Ukranian. In between the sets, we went and visited Brian who had taken the manageress of the hostel, Olesya. She was getting into it, whilst the three of us, just laughed at the acting. And then it was all over. We said goodbye to Olesya, and with Brian, we met up with Eddie and Ayton for one last Lebanese. Loads of beers were downed, before it was time to say goodbye to some new found friends.
And Finally
We loved Ukraine, and all it had to offer. When the Beatles sang about the Uki girls really knock you out, well just like most places, it's both true and a lie. There were some lovely ones, but also bfugly ones. The good with the bad. Beer and vodka is ridiculously cheap, hence the  reason why people are drinking at 08:00, and I'm also sure that they brush their teeth in the stuff !!! Hopefully, we will be back, and when we do, Eddie, get the vodka ready !!! And if you are ever in l'viv, the Kosmonaut IS the only place to stay, and trust me, Eddie will look after you, maybe not your liver, but he will guarantee you a good time !!!
