Back in 96, when we left Australia, one of the things that I really wanted to do was go to the Oktoberfest. We rode our pushies, camped and it pissed down with rain. Lucy hated it and said that she would never return. Amazingly, she realised that she was full of shit, and every year after, we made our annual pilgrimage to Munich, only missing 2000 and 2005 due to us being on the road.
 
So this year, is our tenth, so we did the only thing that was possible, we had commemorative shirts made, and did the usual drinking of many steins and eating loads of chicken and pork, singing, dancing and I even found the time to throw up !!!
 
After the event, I sat back and thought about what I have eaten and drunk over the years
 
At least 100 steins
 
Unknown Amounts of schnapps. I'm always pissed when I drink them
 
10 glasses of champagne
 
20 chickens
 
16 garlic potatoes
 
20 pork knuckles
 
10 steak sandwiches
 
5 Seelachsruckenfilet
 
6 makrels
 
1000000's of sausages !!!

0 stupid hats bought. I might be a fuckwit, but I'm not stupid !!!

And also

Amount of steins we have stolen. Fuck knows, but we do have 8 back home in Australia. One from each of the six houses, plus a couple of extras !!!
 
The Speech
 
First of all, I have to thank my Mum for having me in Australia as it gave me two passports. If it wasn't for the Pommie one, there is no way I could have done TEN.
 
To Lucy, for making sure I was together when hungover, for feeding, looking after and all the general shit that goes with a pissed up mess !!!
 
Woggy, thanks for the shirts. Trust me, your tenth of the same postcard is in the mail !!!
 
To the rest of you guys. You have read my shit, some of you have joined me, like Huggy, Jono and Debs, actually they're all Kiwis. I think they are the only race that can keep up with me.
 
PP Travel. If it wasn't for you guys, where the fuck would I stay ???
