I kind of hate arriving anywhere when it is late. Through my Capusin induced crazed eyes, I manage to find our way through the little souq to our new house. It was to be a fundaq. It is like a caravanserei, but this one has been partially restored and turned into a youth hostel. We have stayed here before, and being part Jewboy, it was just the way I like it. CHEAP. We were given a room, and much to Lucy's dismay, it was not the same one as before. Nothing changes here. Still the only power in the room is for the light, which kind of fucks me up as I now can't use my hairdryer that I carry everywhere !!! How else am I meant to keep my hair looking the way it does !!!

Once we had dumped the bags, we went looking for food. The little hole that we had eaten before was closed. In fact, the majority of places were closed as we are not in tourist season. We went into one, sat, and were offered beer. In the state I was in, I refused. I asked for a Capusin, but he looked at me as if I had just asked for a small measure of smack !!! Presently, I don't know which one is worse for you. No I do. It is the Capusin. This stuff is evil. Neither of us accepted a beer. We ate, the food was pretty crappy. We paid and ran back to the fundaq. What a fun way to start the time on Djerba !!!

After seven Capusins, I didn't sleep much.

For a youth hostel, they actually give you petit de-jeuner. I was given a black coffee. I drank it. Nothing happened. In fact, I was getting the shakes a little. Because of this, Lucy said I was only allowed three Capusins a day. How was I going to cope? I was either going to be up for murder or looking for a new woman !!! Are there any out there that would be willing to take a Capusin addicted, crazed Australian !!!

We hit the souq and it wasn't long before the carpet sellers thought they had their mark. What they didn't realise is that we are both old timers when it comes to the hard push. For low season, the prices were a joke. We walked some more before it became the time I was waiting for. Capusin time. We found a sleazy little cafe full of Izzy lovers and sat down. The first one didn't hit the sides. The second was nice. We moved on towards the Borj Ghazi Mustapha. We had been inside last time so we just hung out talking to a couple of local Izzy lovers, and then took the obligatory photos. It has been slightly more restored. It is nice to look at, but next door is a right shithole. The new marina. We walked around it as well. It is kind of sad because twenty months ago, it was small, and there were fishing pots and boats everywhere. Now they are all gone and they are trying to get Infadels, mainly Frogs to buy here. I wouldn't. It was nice to walk around the other streets, so I celebrated with a Capusin, as I had made it back into town, and Lucy was alive and we were still together !!! As the night rolled on, we had dinner, an early one in our little hole. It was as usual, pretty good.

As it became later, we went to sleep. Well, I did this time, but the hole and Lucy had a bit of an arguement, so she ran, and her dinner followed !!!

The next best thing to do on Djerba is to go visit the Synagogue on the otherside of the island. We did this last time. In fact we hired pushies, but I wasn't feeling like a Jewboy today, and I was also feeling pretty fucking lazy, so we decided that I was Jewish enough, especially from the waste down. Short fingers and long pockets !!! We did however, do some more walking, and of course the Capusins had to be drunk. Lucy wasn't joining me in this fun. I was kind of handling life, just as long as you threw down two first thing in the morning !!! The weather here is really nice. 17 to 18 degrees, but as we have only solar heated hot water, we have been using the local hammam. It is good to go in, grab a loofer, soap up, and scrub yourself. The local Izzy lovers try to speak to me, but when I give them the French that my teacher, Micheal Thomas taught me, all I can think is, who is the failure, the teacher or the student? After the washing, I always retire into the steam room. It is nice, watching the sweat come through my pores, I do however freak a little and wonder if it is the Capusin escaping from my system. I have considered licking myself, but a man can only go so low !!! I think the best thing about the hammams is that they are single sex only. In the past, I have said that I am a lesbian, but I have seen the Izzy lover women go into the hammam with Lucy, and all I can think is Patty and Selma, Marge Simpsons sisters, and it kind of makes me happy that I am a man !!! After the hammam, I always go for my last Capusin, because I am sure that I lost the first two in the sauna !!! Lucy assures me that I haven't and I am still the same fuckwit as ever !!! We did go back to the hole one last time. Lucy wanted to see if it was the food there, or maybe, she just likes the idea of running with a mouth/throat full of spew, waiting to explode, whilst I on the other hand, stay in bed, because she only lets me have three Capusins a day. Serves herself right.

Well, tomorrow we are leaving here early as we have another couple of Louages and private taxis to catch. Lucy said that as I have been handling life on three Capusins a day, I could leave these Izzy lovers for a few days and we would go and visit the Labs of Labya. I am kind of excited, but I am slightly worried that they won't have Capusins there. However, I can't wait to penetrate that country !!!
