So, it has been fun so far being back in Sydney. I have caught up with a few friends and spoken to loads on the phone. It would have been good to go up the coast to see all of the ones that live up there but, physically, that is a huge challenge for me. At the moment, I have bigger fish to fry, considering, it is still pretty hard to walk up the road. Basically, I am fucked by the end of it, and I don't live on a big road !!! Hard to believe, that only three weeks ago I was walking around ten K's a day !!!

I have been for a few more interviews whilst here. I don't want a job as yet, I have decided, but it has been good to use the old grey matter again. Problem is, you walk out of an interview going, "fuck, that was the answer to that" !!! And it has also been good to walk back around the city. Through The Rocks, Circular Quay, Town Hall, Centre Point Tower. Brought back some good memories, but fuck me, this city has changed since I last walked around it.

I went back to the hospital on Tuesday as I had to give blood. Exciting experience, but I have grown very tired of needles !!! I received the results back on Thursday. My blood levels are looking good, and I can now enjoy a glass of wine, if I feel like it, but I don't think I am up to it as yet as my energy levels, as explained earlier, are still at rock bottom, but I am looking forward to now leaving these sunny shores and heading back to the old sub-continent. Not so much India, but Bangladesh, as I do need to add another country to the list. When I explained to the Doctor that I was going to leave, he said, "don't go as you will not have the energy to do anything and I need you to have another blood test in a month". I explained that I was going to watch Australia play cricket there and basically would be sitting on my arse in a dry country. He said it was ok and that I could enjoy myself. He also explained that realistically, I am now immune to Hep E. Whooo hooo. At least that is something, but we think that we now have an idea about how I contracted this lovely little disease. Ever since we started travelling, Lucy has used bottled water to brush her teeth, whilst I have used the local tap water. My belief is that if you do use tap water, you will build up an immunity to the shit in the local water. Well, as we were both eating the same food, drinking the same water, the doctors here believe this is what made me sick. So, maybe this should be a warning to all. I know that I will now be only using BOTTLED WATER when I am brushing my teeth when we next get on the road !!!
